About the role

Codilas is a Zagreb-based tech company building reliable software and cloud solutions for domestic and international clients. We focus on quality engineering, scalable architecture, and systems built for the long run.

We are building a platform for cloud infrastructure optimization, with real-time rightsizing, AI-assisted autoscaling, workload analytics, and detailed cloud-spend analysis. The people who use it are platform engineers and SREs, so the interface has to make dense Kubernetes and cost data easy to read at a glance and deep enough to dig into when something looks off.

We are hiring a Senior Product Designer to own that experience. You will design the dashboards, resource-usage visualizations, optimization workflows, and configuration flows that sit on top of the platform, and you will work closely with the engineers building it. This is a hands-on design role, not one that hands off mockups and walks away.

This is a good fit if you have spent years designing technical products and enjoy turning complicated data into something people can actually use. You do not need an infrastructure background, but you should be comfortable getting into a technical domain and learning enough to design for it well.

Your role and contributions

Own the product design. Own design across the platform, from dashboards and optimization workflows to data visualization and configuration flows. You are the person responsible for how the product looks and how it feels to use.
Turn complex data into clear interfaces. Take dense Kubernetes and cost data and shape it into views that are clear at a glance and deep when someone needs the detail. Decide what to show, what to hold back, and how to guide attention.
Grow the design system. Build and maintain the design system together with the frontend engineers. Keep it consistent as the product grows, and make it something the team can move quickly with.
Work directly with engineering and product. Sit close to engineering and product through the whole cycle, from early sketches to shipped features. Design in the open, adjust as you learn, and stay involved after handoff.
Talk to users and validate your work. Run user research and put your designs in front of real platform engineers and SREs. Use what you learn to make decisions, not to confirm ones you have already made.
Contribute to brand and marketing. Lend a hand on brand and marketing work when it helps, from the website to launch materials. Keep the product and the way we present it feeling like one thing.

Required skills and qualifications

Five or more years of product design experience
Experience designing technical products such as developer tools, dashboards, or analytics and monitoring interfaces
A strong portfolio with data-heavy interfaces, dashboards, or complex workflows
Fluency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and interactive prototypes (Sketch or a similar tool is fine if you are ready to work in Figma)
Comfort across the full design process: research, flows, wireframes, UI, and prototyping
A hands-on, iterative way of working, staying close to engineers from first sketch through build
Clear communication, and the ability to explain the reasoning behind your design decisions

Nice-to-have

Familiarity with developer and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Sentry, New Relic, or Vercel
Strong data-visualization skills, from time-series charts to dense tabular views
Comfort bringing AI tools into your design and research workflow
Some understanding of Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure
Experience designing at an early-stage startup
